Our Arun Sour Sdey Cambodia mission is to contribute to communities across Cambodia in strengthening access to education in schools, counselling on strengthening and setting up small businesses, access to consultations on general disease prevention welfare and health care, in particular, improving the lives of people in the community. Arun Sour Sdey Cambodia also aims to contribute to the promotion of Cambodia's history and cultural civilization.

We envision a Cambodia where all individuals, especially those from marginalised communities, have access to the resources, education, and support they need to thrive. 

Our vision has the following main goals:

• Promote health education, provide examination and counselling on general diseases to the community

• Collaborate with teachers on teaching and training

• Participate in creating a safe and conducive learning environment for children

• Provide business management skills training to small business owners

• Disseminate Khmer civilization, culture and history

• Promote conservation activities and environmental awareness.

Our Programs & Projects

Education & Skill Development

We believe that education is the foundation of empowerment. Our education programs focus on:

• School Support Initiatives
  Providing educational materials, infrastructure improvements, and teachers support to ensure quality education for all.

• English teaching
  Offering skills development in English language for youth and adults, helping them gain the expertise needed for meaningful employment

• Waste Management Education
  Promoting recycling, reducing plastic waste, and educating communities on sustainable practices.

• Sanitation education
  Improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, especially in targeted communities and public schools.

Healthcare & Well-being 

We work to improve access to healthcare services in remote and underserved areas of Cambodia. Our healthcare initiatives include:

• Health Checkup
  Delivering medical services to rural communities with limited access to healthcare facilities.

• Awareness & Prevention
  Conducting outreach programs to educate communities about contagious disease, prevention, testing, and treatment.

• Maternal & Child Health
  Providing healthcare services and education to improve maternal and child health outcomes, reducing infant mortality and promoting healthy pregnancies.

Income generation project

There are two main aims to this project: to help members of disadvantaged communities earn a sustainable income and to provide volunteers with an educational, practical internship in the field of Micro-finance

• Microfinance & Business Training
  Offering small loans, financial literacy training, and business development support to help local entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

• Support entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities to promote economic development on a local level.

Khmer Cultural Immersion Project

Cultural Immersion tour experiences in rural and less-visited areas of Cambodia. This focuses on local traditions, historical sites, and intangible cultural heritage, like local festivals or agricultural practices.

• Communities to create walking tours, cooking classes, or storytelling sessions.

• Offer cultural immersion experiences, where visitors can participate in activities like traditional rice planting, boat rides, or learning about local history.

• Create guidebooks or mobile apps to promote off-the-beaten-path destinations.
